Frequently asked questions
We know you’re not just looking for a vacation—you’re chasing something real. Real connections. Real experiences. Real moments that break the norm and bring on the unforgettable. Travel isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about choosing courage over comfort, curiosity over convenience, and stories over souvenirs.
To us, meaningful travel means pushing boundaries—whatever that looks like for you. It could be joining locals in the heart of a festival, stepping bravely into unfamiliar cultural traditions, or sharing a meal in a tucked‑away neighborhood where hospitality and laughter fill your journey with connection.
Our trips are designed to inspire and energize you in all the right ways. One day you might be swept up in the rhythm of celebration, the next you’re exploring at your own pace. But we understand balance is key. Each destination we weave in unforgettable experiences with time to relax, wander, or simply soak it all in.
And sometimes, the most memorable moments show up in surprising places—like a European Christmas market glowing under fairy lights, or a spontaneous toast at a local festival. Wherever we go, we find them. Because we know you’re not just looking for a vacation—you’re chasing something real
We’re a small business with a big heart—and one passionate founder who’s been boots-on-the-ground in every destination we offer. She’s not only designed each adventure with care, she sometimes leads the tours herself or drops in to make sure everything’s running just right.
As a self-proclaimed adventurer, she’s hand-picked a team of outstanding local guides and crafted the kind of epic journeys she’d want to take herself—blending thrill, depth, and soul. Each itinerary is built around intimate group sizes, typically no more than ten travelers per trip, to keep the experience personal, flexible, and deeply connected.
We’re also mindful of keeping these experiences thoughtfully priced—prioritizing value without cutting corners. By working directly with trusted local partners and avoiding inflated tourist markups, we’re able to offer rich, meaningful journeys that are cost-conscious without compromising on heart.
She’s always exploring up and coming and remote destinations to add fresh experiences to the mix, and for her, designing these journeys is personal—a way to share the places and moments that changed her life. She’s not in it for the pat on the back—okay, maybe a little—but what truly fuels her is seeing travelers, through these curated tours, lean into the unknown, push their comfort zones, and return home seeing the world (and themselves) in a whole new way.
There’s a reason certain places are crowded—they’re iconic, and they’re worth seeing. That’s why we include those must-see “on the beaten path” highlights. But we also believe the soul of travel often lives in the quiet corners, where the crowds thin out and the adventure truly begins.
Every itinerary is designed to balance those legendary sights with off-the-beaten-path experiences—hidden gems, spots the locals love, and awe-filled moments you won’t find in most guidebooks. Because some of the best memories are made in the unexpected.
This is where we break away from the herd—literally. If the typical group travel experience of cramming into a double-decker bus with 50 strangers makes you cringe, you’re in the right place. Our tours are capped at just ten travelers, allowing for a more personalized, flexible, and truly immersive experience.
With a group this size, you won’t just see a destination—you’ll feel it, connect with it, and live it. All while sharing it with a group that feels more like friends than fellow tourists. You might arrive as strangers, but chances are, you’ll toast on your last night with newfound friends.
Absolutely—our trips are thoughtfully crafted for solo travelers, couples, and small groups alike. Come one, come all!
Yes—all participants must be 18 years or older. That said, some of the most inspiring people I’ve met on the road have come from every background and life stage. When you open yourself up to new experiences, you open the door to unexpected friendships and unforgettable connections—at any age.
Yes! All of our trips include English-speaking guides who know your destination inside and out, thrives in adventure destinations, and is with you every step of the way. More than a leader, they bring travelers together from around the world—empowering, inspiring, and creating unforgettable connections.
We believe the right guide doesn’t just lead the way—they set the tone for the entire journey. That’s why every tour is led by a hand-selected guide with deep experience in your travel destination, a passion for adventure, and meaningful cultural engagement. Our guides are not only experts in logistics and safety—they’re storytellers, connectors, and fellow explorers who genuinely care about your experience.
They’re with you to ensure everything runs smoothly—from logistics to unexpected moments—while also giving you the space to explore independently or enjoy the quiet of your own company.
With certain experiences—like during multi-day treks or technical hikes—your primary guide may coordinate with local experts who are intimately familiar with the terrain. These third-party guides are vetted, safety-certified, and bring a wealth of knowledge to enhance your safety and experience. It’s all about blending expertise with local insight to ensure every moment feels intentional and unforgettable.
Our stays are thoughtfully selected for comfort, character, and experience. Most trips blend standard accommodations with unique, elevated stays—think private-island glamping, remote A-frame cabins, or charming cultural homestays that bring you closer to the heart of a destination.
While we’re not in the five-star resort game, we are in the business of once-in-a-lifetime memories. And sometimes, the stay is part of the story.
If you are a solo traveler, we understand the importance of your own space, so no bunking with strangers. Private rooms are built into the solo price. There’s currently only one itinerary where shared space happens for a single night, and that's just to keep the adventure accessible.
Backpacking & Remote Excursions: If your tour includes backpacking or venturing into remote areas, accommodations may range from tents and shared spaces to rustic lodges. But don’t worry—we’ll detail everything in your itinerary, so there are no surprises. Often, there’s an option to upgrade to a solo room for a small additional fee, depending on availability. If that’s important to you, just let us know early so we can help secure it!
Hostels? Only if they’re intentionally part of a backpacking or cultural immersion experience. We’ll always let you know in advance, and those details will be clearly outlined in your itinerary.
(For more on accommodations in remote adventures, see the section above!)
WiFi is available at nearly all our stays, and we’ll flag any off-the-grid nights ahead of time. Because disconnecting can be magic… but surprises shouldn’t be part of your bedtime routine.
Absolutely. When booking your trip, just select the option for flight assistance, and we’ll help you find the best routes and arrival times to match your tour. We’ve got your back—from takeoff to touchdown.
We believe in clarity and open communication. That’s why we’re upfront about what’s included in your trip and what’s not. Optional activities or experiences beyond the core itinerary can bring even more depth and excitement to your journey. These recommendations will be clearly described—so you can decide what fits your vibe, time, and travel style. When pricing is available, we’ll share it; when it’s still being finalized with our local partners, we’ll make sure you have the details as soon as we do.
We love welcoming travelers from around the world! All payments are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD), and your bank or credit card provider will automatically convert the charge into your local currency using their exchange rate.
To help you plan, each trip page includes a currency conversion calculator so you can estimate costs in your home currency.

We’ve planned your journey with care—every detail thoughtfully chosen, from the best local guides to the optimal time of year for each destination. But let’s be honest: travel doesn’t always follow a checklist. And sometimes, that’s where the magic lives.
A delayed boat. A last-minute route change. A shared laugh with someone who doesn’t speak your language. These moments—the unplanned ones—often end up being the highlight.
Once, a change in plans led me to meet a local who invited me on a sunrise hike known only to villagers. It ended with a soak in natural hot springs far from the crowds. That “disruption”? It turned into one of the most unforgettable memories of my time there. He’s now not just a friend, but one of our trusted guides.
So yes, the itinerary is intentional. Yes, the timing is curated. But the best parts? Sometimes they sneak up on you. We lean into that joy—because when you do, the unexpected becomes unforgettable.
While travel insurance isn’t required, it’s strongly recommended—especially given the adventurous nature of many of our trips. From delayed flights to lost gear or unexpected medical needs, it’s always better to be covered just in case.
Plus, activities like trekking, rafting, and other epic excursions may carry additional risks, and comprehensive coverage gives peace of mind while you soak in the experience.
Need help choosing a provider? We’re happy to recommend trusted companies that offer solid coverage for a minimal fee.
Yes and no. Our trips are designed to be seamless—you book, show up, and dive into the experience. Easy peasy. That said, we always build in downtime for optional add-ons if you want to explore more on your own.
Want to arrive early or stay longer? We’re happy to help with suggestions and logistics for pre- or post-tour plans. Just note: a small consulting fee applies for those extra arrangements.
We’ve got most of the tipping covered so you can focus on the experience.
Included Tips: Gratuities for all coordinated excursions involving third-party providers are already included in your trip cost. This also applies to included meals and transportation, when tipping is appropriate.
Tour Guide Appreciation: If you feel your tour guide made your trip even more memorable, it’s customary (though not required) to offer a tip at the end of the journey as a token of appreciation.
